Diplomatic Relations

The official diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Iran were established in 1950. Since 1950, both nations have continuously strengthened partnerships across various strategic fields, including technology, medical and laboratory equipment, education, and global issues of mutual interests. This includes steadfast support for Palestinian rights and the resolution of regional conflicts through diplomacy. This is further reflected in their collaboration within international forums such as the UN, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), D-8, and BRICS.
